2024 Scout Outdoor Campout Events

  • Jan 12-13, 2024 Lock-In at NWUMC.  A Scout favorite in January, combined with a food drive, basketball, video games, cards, games, and staying up as long as you dare!
  • February 9-11, 2024  First-Year Campout at Camp Falling Rock Boys nearing the end of their first year in Troop 200 gain valuable experience in leadership through this opportunity to plan, lead, and explore new things
  • March 1-2, 2024  Climbing Campout at Vertical Adventures Experience indoor rock climbing in this Troop 200 favorite, which also happens to be one of the first adventures for 2024 crossovers! This campout starts on a Friday evening at 10:00 pm with safety instructions by the qualified staff at Vertical Adventures, climbing, pizza, and sleeping on the mats.
  • April 12-14, 2024  Patrol Methods Campout at Camp Lazarus Come learn what it means to operate as a patrol while bonding with your peers.
  • April 18-22, 2024  West Point Campout This trip has it all with Scout camaraderie at the West Point Camporee sponsored by the esteemed United States Military Academy in New York. An annual invitational camping event, the weekend consists of camping on the Academy property with displays, competitions, demonstrations, and a trading post.
  • May 3-5, 2024  Advancement Campout at Otter Run Two nights of camping in the woods with a focus on learning and earning! Those rank requirements that especially need the outdoors, like ax yard, knife safety, fire starting, and cooking, are the types of fun Scouts can expect. This is all capped off with an entertaining campfire on Saturday evening.
  • June 7-9, 2024 Fishing and Cooking at Lake Savage A great catch of a campout, this event teaches you how to fish for bass at the lake, then cook and serve it! Set at the pristine private property of Mr. Savage in Londonderry, OH, this campout is relaxing for Scouts and Scouters alike.
  • July 7-13, 2024  Summer camp at Friedlander A full week of friends and fun at Friedlander! Enjoy the outdoors in the beautiful sprawling land of Loveland, OH, as you participate in Merit Badge courses, dip into the refreshing waters of The Lake, and develop lasting memories from summer camp.
  • August TBD  Patrol Activities Individual patrols take the reins in planning and executing an outing, service, or campout with one another. Boys gain valuable experience in leadership through this activity and opportunity to explore new things.
  • September 27-29, 2024 Kings Island Campout  A thrill-a-minute…or maybe every two hours! Scouts see physics in motion while riding roller coasters all day at Kings Island near Cincinnati, OH, after camping at nearby campgrounds.
  • October 18-20, 2024  Cycling and Conservation Campout at Camp Tuscazoar  An exciting first for Troop 200, boys and leaders have the opportunity to ride 50 miles on smooth trails at the historic Camp Tuscazoar and surrounding Dover, OH. This campout is coupled with a conservation project so Scouts can give back to the program that gives so much. 
  • November 8-9, 2024 Turkey Campout at NWUMC Give thanks for all that the scouting movement gives to youth all around the world, and in Columbus, Ohio, as the troop welcomes area Arrow of Lights to fun and games this November. Friends and family are also invited to the best turkey dinner around!
  • December 13-15, 2024  Wilderness Survival Campout i you brave the elements in your own stick-and-mud hut? Scouts learn how to make a structurally-sound outdoor shelter safe enough to sleep in overnight. Don’t worry–leaders evaluate each hut before shut-eye!
