2026 Calendar of Events

2026 Scout Outdoor Campout Events

January 9-10 Lock-in at NWUMC A Scout favorite in January, combined with a food drive, a cake decorating competition, bowling at Dragon Lanes, and staying up as long as you dare!

February 7-8 Cabin Campout at Marmon Valley Get your snow legs on and prepare to ski the slopes at Mad River Mountain. Stay in a cozy cabin at Marmon Valley and enjoy hot cocoa while playing games.

March 13-14 Climbing Campout at Vertical Adventures Experience indoor rock climbing in this Troop 200 favorite, which also happens to be one of the first adventures for 2026 crossovers! This campout starts on a Friday evening at 10 pm with safety instructions by the qualified staff at Vertical Adventures, climbing, pizza, and sleeping on the mats.

April 17-19 Patrol Methods Campout at Camp Lazarus Come learn what it means to operate as a patrol while bonding with your peers in this campout designed especially for Troop 200’s newest members.

May 8-10 Advancements Campout at Otter Run Two nights of camping in the woods with a focus on learning and earning! Those rank requirements that especially need the outdoors, like axe yard, knife safety, fire starting, and cooking, are the types of fun Scouts can expect. This is all capped off with an entertaining campfire on Saturday evening.

June 12-14 Ohiopyle Campout Take a scenic drive to southwest Pennsylvania to participate in an assortment of activities, like biking and fishing, at Ohiopyle State Park!

July 5-11 Summer camp at Friedlander A full week of friends and fun at Friedlander! Enjoy the outdoors in the beautiful sprawling land of Loveland, OH, as you participate in Merit Badge courses, dip into the refreshing waters of The Lake, and develop lasting memories from summer camp.

August 15 Day Hike at Alum Creek State Park Enjoy a hike through the woods one last weekend before school starts while practicing skills, like trail cooking and navigation.

September 25-27 Cycling and Conservation Campout at Hisey Park Last year was so much fun, we’re gearing up for it again! Troop 200 boys and leaders have the opportunity to ride 50 miles on smooth trails at Caesar Creek State Park in southwestern Ohio, view the night sky at the Hutzel Observatory, and do a daily good turn by participating in a conservation project.

October 9-11 Iron Chef Campout at Otter Run Friendly cooking competition anyone? Experienced Scouts have the opportunity to test their cooking skills while camping under the October night sky. All Scouts have fun with food-themed challenges to “egg on” their opponents.

November 13-14 Turkey Campout at NWUMC Give thanks for all that scouting gives to youth as the troop welcomes area Arrow of Lights to fun and games this November. Friends and family are then invited to the best turkey dinner around and witness ushering in the new Senior Patrol Leader.

December 1-31 Patrol Activities Individual patrols take the reins in planning and executing an outing, service, or campout with one another. (This requires the Patrol leader to arrange two-deep leadership for YPT compliance.)

NOTE: Event dates and locations are subject to change based upon availability of adult leaders.
