Green Bar Training will be offered again this year. The course provides all required training modules for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters to wear the TRAINED strip. It is also great training for
interested parents of scouts, Webelos Den Leaders and Troop Committee members. Troop Committee members will also receive their TRAINED strip
because Troop Committee Challenge is also included in the course. Additionally participants will receive Safety Afloat, Safe Swim Defense training and Leave No Trace training while learning how to
complete all a scouts requirements through First Class. You will learn all the skills your scout needs to know as well as the Aims and Methods of Boy Scouting.

This year the course is offering an early bird discount. If you register by August 15th you can save $10 and pay just $65. That date is now 2 weeks away! Last year the course was full so don't wait!

The course is held over 3 weekends:

  • Saturday September 13th from 8:00 to 5:30 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington
  • Saturday & Sunday September 27th and 28th at Camp Falling Rock (8:00 AM Saturday to 5:00 PM Sunday)

Summer Camp is behind us and we have a lot of advancement coming out of it; Swamp Day, Aquatics Campout and then we begin working towards Shooting Sports. A big thank you to Rich Taylor for organizing our Aquatics Program.

If you are an Ordeal Member of the Order of the Arrow, please think about becoming a brotherhood member this year.

Finally, Den Chief Training is August 23rd. Please contact Mr. Lugo for more details.

Photo Galleries Galore!

Troop 200 (and its photographers) have been busy this summer. There are MANY new galleries on the photo site. Here are some links to get you directly to your favorite events:

Talkin' Trash and Stayin' Green
Planting trees

Hard work and a contribution back to our community. That's what a service campout is all about. Oh yeah, and don't forget about a little fun.

A cadre of Troop 200 scouts worked with SWACO to help beautify the county landfill in south-eastern Franklin County. Thanks to the scouts, scouters, and adult leaders.

Take a look at some of their activities here.

Welcome home Sea Base crew!
Sea Base crew Troop 200's Sea Base crew is home! While the weather wasn't quite what they expected from the Bahamas, everyone had a great time!

Here's a crew picture with their Captain, Daniel. A full sized version of this photo may be found in this SmugMug album - and set a watch for more photos coming soon.

Frontier Camp at Camp Frye
Frontier Camp crewCamp Frye served as host to Troop 200's Frontier Camp this year. The weather was a little cooler than normal (there's that pesky weather again), but that didn't slow the crew down. Check out pictures here. Thanks to Mr. Locker for documenting the week.
