Job Description
When you accept the position of Scribe, you agree to provide service in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.
Duties: Must meet 8 out of 10 requirements
- Attend and keep a log of Patrol Leaders' Council meetings and distribute minutes of the meetings to the Scoutmaster, Senior Patrol Leadership, and the Patrol and Assistant Patrol Leaders
- Collect dues and turns them into treasurer (use Receipt Book)
- Collect campout payments and turn them into campout leader(use Receipt Book)
- Must have earned the Communications merit badge or show proof of working on it
- *REQUIRED* Make sure patrol scribes keep attendance at meeting
- Help keep web site up to date
- Works with patrol scribes to maintain advancement records
- Hand out announcements at end of meeting (patrol scribes can also do this)
- *REQUIRED* Must attend 75% of troop meetings
- *REQUIRED* Set a good example
