QUARTERMASTER

Job Description

When you accept the position of Quartermaster, you agree to provide service in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.

Duties: Must meet 9 out of 11 requirements

  1. Prepare an inventory of the Troop equipment
    Must make list of all items in locker
  2. *REQUIRED* Keep records of Patrol and/or Troop equipment used for each event
  3. Assign equipment to be cleaned after each event
  4. Issue equipment and see that it is returned in good order
  5. *REQUIRED* Must attend 3/4 campouts for Star, 4/6 for Life, and 5/6 for Eagle
  6. Must attend 75% of Troop meetings
  7. Keep equipment in good repair (make sure equipment is cleaned properly)
  8. Work with the Assistant Scoutmaster - Quartermaster /Activities Coordinator
  9. Arrange for the repair and/or replacement of equipment
    List of new needed equipment should be presented to committee for purchasing
  10. Maintain the locker in an orderly manner
  11. *REQUIRED* Set a good example
