PATROL LEADER
Job Description
When you accept the position of Patrol Leader, you agree to
- Provide service and leadership in your troop
- Live by the Scout Oath and Law
- Show Scout spirit
Duties: Must meet 6 out of 8 requirements
- Plan and lead patrol meetings and activities
(3/4 months for Star, 4/6 for Life, and 5/6 for Eagle)
- Keep patrol members informed
- Represent the patrol at all Patrol Leaders' Council meetings and the annual program planning conference
(3/4 PLC for Star, 4/6 for Life, 5/6 for eagle)
- Prepare the patrol to take part in all Troop activities
(Patrol leader must attend 75% of Troop Meetings)
(Patrol leader must attend 3/4 campouts for Star, 4/6 for Life, and 5/6 for Eagle )
- Develop patrol spirit (flag, patch, song/yell)
- Know what Patrol members and other leaders can do
Everyone needs a position in patrol
- Encourage patrol members to advance
(For 2nd and 1st year patrols 75% of members must advance 1 rank,
50% must advance 2 ranks, or 25% must make it to First Class)
*Note: Scout does not count as rank.
. For 3rd year and higher, 50% of patrol members must earn 50 % or
more of requirements for next rank
