Job Description

When you accept the position of Troop Guide, you agree to provide service and leadership in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.

Duties: Must meet 9 out of 11 requirements

  1. Requirements: Star Rank and proof of leadership skills
  2. Advise and help the Patrol Leader on his duties and responsibilities at Patrol and Troop meetings only when necessary
  3. Help Patrol Leader counsel individual scouting challenges
  4. Help Scouts meet advancement requirements through First Class
  5. Prevent harassment of new Scouts by older Scouts
  6. Guide new Scouts to help them become comfortable in the troop and the outdoors
  7. *REQUIRED* Must attend Turkey Campout, Summer camp and Advancement campout
  8. Must Attend PLC and Annual Patrol Leader Planning
    (4/6 PLC for Life and 5/6 for Eagle)
  9. *REQUIRED* Must attend troop campouts (4 out of 6) and meetings (75%).
  10. Wear uniform correctly
  11. *REQUIRED* Set the example
