It's that time of year again. Skiing, Snow Boarding. Not a skier…no problem - new this season Snow Tubing !! 10 chutes 900 feet each, and a conveyor lift. This event is going to be a lot of seasonal fun!!!

NOTE: The Snow Sports merit badge counselor STRONGLY encourages all skiers (whatever your skill level) to take a lesson at Mad River. You'll learn new skills, improve old skills, and have a more enjoyable snow experience.

We will be traveling to Mad River Mountain in Bellefontaine. Once there, a troop adult will be stationed in the Ski Lodge all day and can hold wallets or other valuables for Scouts that wish to not take them on the slope. Remember you are responsible for your own valuables taken on campout.

After skiing and winter fun in the morning, we’ll check into the historic Marmon Valley Farm House (circa 1825) directly across the road from Mad River Mountain.  Dinner will be provided at 6:00 pm in the dining hall connected to the house.  The Farmhouse is equipped with bathrooms and a meeting room. A fire ring behind the house is also available for the evening.  A continental breakfast will be provided Sunday morning. The Troop will conduct a non-denominational church service Sunday before departure.

The ski slopes and tubing are open until 1:00 am; or bring cards or a board game for after dinner fun.
