Camp Ohio 740-745-2194

This Campout will provide Scouts who are seeking their Rifle/Shotgun Shooting or Archery Merit badges the chance to earn their qualifications, and the opportunity to pursue their Shooting merit badge.  Troop 200 is fortunate to have several trained/certified adults in the area of shooting.

Shooting merit badge course work will take place during the Troop meetings on August 19th & August 26th in preparation for the campout. During the campout, we also will provide some open range time for Scouts to try their hand at the shooting sports even though they are not seeking the merit badges. We recommend that even if you are not planning to seek the Shooting Merit Badges that you attend the merit badge classes to review the fundamentals of safe shooting.

We will be developing a Safety Covenant / Permission slip for completion by the Scout and their parent or guardian in order to participate in the campout.  The campout will be conducted as a zero tolerance event in terms of weapon handling.  This will be discussed further at the upcoming scout meetings.

Scout uniform is to be worn for travel to the campsite, Sunday worship service, and trip home. So wear your class A’s. Rain Gear is a must. Expect Rain! Be Prepared with rain gear. Shooting sports will go on rain or shine.

This Campout will be a great time, so we hope to see everyone there! Be sure to signup!
