Our Camping location is at the Indiana Railroad Museum in French Lick, Indiana.  We depart Friday morning stopping at Marengo Caves in Marengo IN.  We will eat our bag lunch in the parking lot then complete a 2 hour cave tour.  This is a US National Landmark and is expected to provide an interesting opportunity to expose our Scouts to the possibilities of Caving.  See http://www.marengocave.com/  for information on the caves.

Next we will travel on to French Lick IN where we will camp on the grounds of the Indiana Railroad Museum http://indianarailwaymuseum.org .  Friday evening meal will be Patrol cooking.

Saturday morning museum staff will begin the Railroad Merit Badge after a breakfast prepared by the Patrols.  This course will begin at 8am.  At approx. 10 am we will take a 2 hour train ride through the scenic Hoosier National Forest.  The train ride will be complete with a 2200 foot long tunnel, historic equipment, and fall’s grand beauty – the changing of the leaves.

Once back on-site the Patrols will complete the Merit Badge and prepare a Patrol Lunch.  The afternoon will involve tours of the museum where approx. 5PM we will serve Pizza and Pop for the evening meal.  After our dinner the group will get into our bathing suits for an adventure at the Big Splash Indoor Adventure Water Park, http://www.bigsplashadventure.com .  We expect to swim to our hearts content that evening until asked to leave by the management of the park.

Sunday morning we will arise – have Patrol breakfasts, have our Scouts Own Worship Service, strike camp and head for home.

Patrols will need to prepare a contribution to the Sunday Chapel Service.  Let the Chaplin Aid know what your patrol will be doing.
