Attention all new scouts!


Scouts will arrive in Class “A” uniform at the Prairie Oaks Metro Park by 8:00 am. The Day will begin under the Prairie View Shelter near the entrance to the Park. Scouts attending must have a Class 1 Medical form, scout book, a sack lunch and refillable water bottle.


Prairie Oaks Metro Park is located at 3225 Plain City-Georgesville Road West Jefferson, OH 43162.
The Patrol Method Day is an event that is essential to new scouts who have joined Troop 200, and for all troop youth leaders, instructors and Guides to help train and teach basic skills and the BSA Patrol Method. What is a Patrol?
Scouts will learn how to set up a troop tent, plan patrol meals, basic first aid, develop a patrol name, yell, flag, patrol bonding, how to fall in for roll call, the basics of scouting, knots, the buddy system, troop operations, how to have a successful camping experience and a lot more!


This outing is specifically designed to assist in transitioning new boys to the world of Boy Scouting. Any adult attending will need to be BSA youth protection trained On-line BSA Youth Protection.

Scouts will be outside all day, so dress appropriately. A Scout is prepared! This event will happen rain or shine.
