Important Notes For All Programs:
- All participants in any on-water program must be able to swim and pass the basic BSA swim test. Non-swimmers can sign up for the Fishing Merit Badge program.
- Parents must complete a special activity Permission Form (required for all on-water programs)
- Parent helpers are always needed and encouraged – especially if you have skills in canoeing, fishing, sailing, motorboating, waterskiing, lifeguarding, or swimming.
- As space permits, parents are encouraged to join scouts in learning any of these skills during the Summer Aquatics Program.
- All scouts will be required to wear a personal flotation device (provided by the Troop if you don’t have your own) at all times while on the water
- A current Class I medical form is required for each scout and each parent participating in water activities
- Swamp day activities will go on RAIN or SHINE – be prepared!
