Flag Ceremony

The selected Patrol Leader says everything in quotes.

Beginning
"Troop 200 Attention"
        Troop stands at attention.
"Color Guard, Advance"
        Color Guard comes forward in a double file, flags cross, and bearers hold flags next
        to the stands.  The scouts following the flags form an orderly line in front of their P.L.

Patrol members present their prepared flag tribute.

"Color Guard, Prepare to post the Colors"
        The scouts holding the flags should hold the flags above the stands.
"Color Guard, Post the Colors"
        Once the American Flag is posted, THEN the Scout flag is posted.
        Color Guard should then take a step back from the flags.
"Please face the American Flag, and join us in the Pledge of Allegiance"
        Turn and face the flag.
"Scout Salute"
        Salute.
"I Pledge Allegiance…"
        Say the rest of the Pledge.
"Two"
        Put your hand at your side.
"Please face the Scout Flag and join us in the Scout Oath and Law"
        Face the Scout Flag.
"Scout Sign"
        Put up the Scout Sign.
"On my Honor…"
        Say the rest of the Oath and Law
"Two"
        Put your hand at your side.
"Color Guard, Retreat"
        Color Guard reforms a double line (with flag bearers) and walks to end of room.
"Color Guard, Dismissed"
"Troop 200 at ease"
        Troop goes to normal stature.
 

Ending
"Troop 200 Attention"
        Troop stands at attention.
"Color Guard, Advance"
        Color Guard advances to infront of the P.L.
"Color Guard, Prepare to Retire the Colors"
        Flag bearers and one assistant each move to flag poles.
"Color Guard, Retire the Colors"
        Flag bearers lift flags from stands.  Assistant helps with stuck stands, etc.
"Color Guard, Retreat"
        Flag bearers and assistants rejoin patrol which forms a line behind each flag
        WITH USA FLAG ON RIGHT SIDE. Color Guard then walks to end of room.
"Color Guard, dismissed"
"Troop 200 at ease"
